Charter Security Suite for Mac - Manual Virus Scan

Charter Security Suite® for Mac includes real-time virus and spyware scanning, which means your Mac is scanned for viruses automatically. So it is not necessary to perform a manual virus scan on a regular basis. However, if you decide to do so, the following steps will guide you through performing a manual virus scan.

Opening the Charter Security Suite®

Select the Tools tab within Security Suite and select either "Virus and Spyware scan" to scan all files or "Choose what to scan…" to select a specific file.

The Security Suite will now scan your Mac for viruses and spyware. The scan may take some time to complete, but you can still use your computer as normal during the process.

When scanning is completed, a summary will display letting you know how many viruses were found and removed. Click "Close" when finished.
